  • How long do your store our images?
    I clean out my client files every 3 months and cannot guarantee that I will backup the images for you, so be sure to download the images and create your own backups. I do not store the raw files for more than 2 months. For Graphic Designs, 6 months.
  • Why do I have to pay a deposit?
    To lock in your date + time. If you cancel last minute or within 48 hours, your deposit will not be refunded. (for weddings: 2 weeks before the date). This helps someone else who most likely would've been able to book me during that period. Nothing will be on my calendar until the deposit is paid, making your desired time slot up for grabs.
  • Can I bring a hype-person?
    We love a hype guy, so feel free to bring a friend, parent, spouse, etc! Whoever can cheer you on + make you feel more comfortable, go for it, Beauty!
  • When do I pay the remainder? Can I pay all upfront?
    The remainder of your session + travel fee is due immediately following your shoot before we both depart ways. No images will be delivered until the final payment is made. The way my booking system is set up is in two increments: deposit + final payment.
  • Do I get to select my images?
    No. Part of my job is making the image selects and choosing the most flattering photographs of the moment. The images I do not deliver are either repeats, blurry, or out of focus, shots of you blinking or mid-sentence speaking. I have no reason to withhold any images if there are additional ones I think you would enjoy! I am on your side, Beautiful!
  • How do I send my files for graphic designing?
    It'll all be through email, so I can keep track of what you're sending me. The files I will need will be included in the Package as you're booking, so be sure to read the details with care as it'll help both of us have a smoother communication. If you have questions or additional info, be sure to send it all in one email if possible.
  • What happens if it rains or some crazy weather?
    If the weather is crazy/act of nature/I am sick/etc, we will put your deposit toward a re-schedule. However, if you simply don’t show up to the session, the deposit will not be refunded. If you have booked a portrait, couple, or music/ entertainment photo session, [this does not include elopements, weddings, or commercial work] and need to reschedule your session, your deposit can be put toward a re-schedule as long as I am notified within 14 days of your session. I get it— life happens. However, if you need to cancel and do not want to re-schedule, your deposit is not refunded. Sorry!
  • What about revisions?
    2 free revisions, except if it's complex, can take 3. Additional revisions are $25 or $30, depending on the package you get.
  • What if we're not happy with the final images?
    If you have read my FAQ thoroughly and done all you can to prepare yourself for your photoshoot, including picking a location you love, an outfit you feel confident in, then this is the best way to ensure you will be happy with the final result. If I have delivered what I promised to you, photography services of your package of choice, and you are not happy with the final outcome there is nothing I can do outside of performing my photography services.
  • What are location travel fees?
    Depending on exactly where you want your photographs done, so travel fees will vary. (57.5 cents/mile). This is so that I can get to you and back safely with your photographs + gear.
  • How long will graphic designing take?
    It varies. It could take 5-10 days minimum, but it depends on the design you're looking for, so even about 3 weeks.
  • Can we pick the images that go on your website?
    No. Any files in the session could be share online.
  • Will you re-touch (photoshop) how I look?
    Somewhat. I only do a light smoothing or bring out color of some appearances like wrinkles, teeth, eyes, and acne upon request. However, I do not alter my client’s appearance. If you want graphics added that's an additional fee depending on what you'd like as each session and taste is different.
  • What if we don't want the images to be used on social media or anywhere online?
    When signing the contract, you automatically agree it can be shared on these platforms. However, please make it clear to me in your initial contact email if this is the case and let me know the reason. The sole way I market my photography services (and how you found me!) is the internet and I rely on sharing my photography to bring in customers. Therefore, I do have a fee if this is something you want to be waived. please inquire.
  • How + when will I receive the files? What about unedited and raw?
    You will receive the edited images within at least 2 weeks of your session (most times less). You will receive all of the files via wetransfer, which is an easy + free email service, and personal email. You then can send them to print, forward to your friends + family, and post online! Download links do expire after a few days, so be sure to download your images asap! Make sure to save + backup your images. Also, no raw or unedited files will be sent, even upon request.
  • How long do photo sessions typically take?
    1-hour minimum. However, I suggest blocking at least 3 hours for the day for traveling, prepping, and waiting in line and/or traffic depending on the shoot you need. In addition, my timframes are generous because I'm able to capture quickly, so don't be suprised if we get done at least 10 mintues early. WIth little ones, I suggust 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
  • Do you have a Referral Program?
    Yes! HOW IT WORKS 1. Send your friends my way! Online referrals work too 2. Your friends or family mentions that they were referred by YOU 3. They will get $25 towards their session or prints/images 4. After their session is completed, you will get notified that you’ve earned a $25 credit to use towards a future session with Lens This Beauty! Photography 5. Redeem your rewards within one (1) calendar year of earning RULES AND CONDITIONS This program is open only to past and existing clients of Lens This Beauty Photography (“LTB”). To be eligible to receive a referral credit you must be a client that has booked and paid for a session or have had a previous session with LTB. - Referred client (“Referee”) MUST purchase a session with LTB to receive their reward. If they book and then cancel their session, the credit is forfeited. - This reward carries no cash value and is not transferrable. It can only be used towards future sessions and can only be used by the referrer. Cannot be used towards prior purchases or bookings. - If multiple clients refer the same friend (example: via a Facebook thread), the reward will go to whomever the Referee mentions at booking. - Referee MUST fully pay and complete their session in order for the Referrer to receive the credit towards a future session. - Your rewards can accrue, so there’s no limit as to how much credit you can earn. - Accrued rewards MUST be used within one (1) calendar year of your referral’s completed session. - This program will be terminated and all rewards voided if NLP ceases to be in business.
  • What if I Create my mind map consultation & it's not for me? What is the refund policy?
    Ah, the uncertainties! We totally understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. However, our mind maps and schedules are non-refundable as they are like one-of-a-kind pieces of art, specifically tailored to your unique wants and needs. Also, investing time, education, and the tools in crafting them just for you. In addition, letting you know ahead of time in a thorough presentation that this is a start for you to eventually craft your own as situations can change and evolve - just like we want you to! We want you to grow, just like our parents kicked us out to do it by ourselves, but we'll be around if you need help again. So, unfortunately, we don't offer refunds for consultations. Think of it this way - when you sign up for our consultation, you're not just getting a run-of-the-mill service. You're investing in a personalized experience that's designed to unlock your full potential. We work diligently to create mind maps and schedules that are tailored to your specific requirements, ensuring a transformative experience. We want you to get the most out of your consultation and walk away feeling inspired, motivated, and armed with the tools you need to conquer your goals to live or maintain the successful life you're living or seeking for.
Other things to note:
The client is responsible for their own metro card, uber/lyft ride, gas, parking as well as any other permits needed for the location. The client is also encouraged to bring props, such as flowers, but is responsible for whatever props they would like in the images.
